XIV Frankfurt Global Forum / Thanksgiving Dinner

This year’s traditional Thanksgiving Dinner took place in Frankfurt am Main on November 28th. Consul General James W. Herman and his wife, Mrs. Leilani Herman, were once again the hosts of the annual turkey dinner, inviting both Global Bridges members and Young Leaders to gather at their residence for the festive evening.

After a welcome speech by Dr. Beate Lindemann, Consul General Herman opened the event with a detailed insight into the United States’ political situation and its perspectives on German-American relations. After thought-provoking discussions and a round of questions, Axel Hansing, partner at Coller Capital Ltd, regaled the group during dessert with a briefing on Global Bridges’ XIII Study Trip to China this October.

Along with this year’s Thanksgiving, the gathering celebrated the end of Consul General Herman’s time in Frankfurt am Main, who will be taking on a new post elsewhere in the coming year. This gave the evening even more reason to celebrate, filled with a multitude of culinary treats and stimulating conversations.
